The Ellwood City boys basketball team used a well rounded scoring attack to knock off rival Riverside 52-40 on Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Three Wolverines reached double digits led by junior guard Kaleb Servick who scored a game-high 17 points. Tyler Smiley finished with 11 points (two 3-pointers, four assists, five steals) and Aaron Lake scored 10 points in the victory.
Ellwood City never trailed in the contest and improved to 9-8 on the regular season (5-3 Class 3A-1).
Matt Santillo and Dylan Meyer each scored nine points for the Panthers in defeat. Riverside falls to 10-5 Overall (4-4 Class 3A-1).
The victory evened the season series between the two teams as Riverside picked up a home victory in December.
