Three Local Golfers Qualify For WPIAL Class 2A Individual Championships

Three local golfers qualified for the WPIAL Golf Individual championships with their performances Monday at Tanglewood Golf Course.

Juniors Nate Kennedy and Jordan Keller from Ellwood City both made the cut while Hunter Garvin from Riverside also earned a spot in the WPIAL Class 2A Individual Championship set to be held on Monday at Youghiogheny Country Club in McKeesport.

Kennedy (36-36, 72) shot even par to win Section Medalist honors.

Keller (35-38, 73 +1) finished one shot back in his qualifying effort.

Garvin (40-42, 82 +10) earned a spot in the individual championships with his efforts Monday, finishing one shot ahead of the cutline that was set at 83.

Other golfers who participated Monday at Tanglewood GC include Braden Roberts (41-43, 84), Jaxon Rozanski (38-47, 85), Gino Biondi (42-44, 86), and Andy Lin (44-42, 86) for the Ellwood City Wolverines.

Ryan Fry (39-49, 88), Drake Fox (45-44, 89), Christian Lucarelli (46-44, 90), and Tony Chill (49-45, 94) rounded out the scores for the participating Riverside Panthers on Monday.
