The Ellwood City United Fund needs your (the Ellwood City community) support now, more than ever!
At this time of year we all know that we only have so many days left to prepare for the Christmas holiday. The United Fund service agencies know that only 20 more days remain before the end of the year. Then the new year starts with budget problems because funds were short this year due to lack of donations. Over the past few years this is an on going story that allotments are cut causing changes in the agencies new year operations.
The United Fund provides funding for eight local agencies that are active in the community. Again this year the United Fund is coming up short and wants to remind everyone that you still can make a contribution that will be a yearly tax deduction. If you have already made a contribution, you may want to donate again and help your neighbors in time of need.
Every year our agencies send us thank you letters for funds received. Please read what Kevin Green, director of City Rescue Mission, had to say, “your contributions will help the Mission to provide, food, shelter and an opportunity to rest……and find peace with God. The past year the Mission helped over 90 individuals in their struggles of life…Thank You.”
The United Fund is still short of its goal of $50,000.00. We need help every year from the Ellwood City community and now we need it more than ever. If you have not given and you can, please do.. There are many who depend upon us and other charities for help. Start the New Year as you ended the old, with kindness and generosity.
You can still donate by sending your gift to:
Ellwood City United Fund
PO Box 174

All donations are tax deductible.
