Brian Leslie Taylor, 75

Brian Leslie Taylor, age 75, of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 3, 1950, in New Castle, PA, Brian was the beloved son of the late Trevor and Vesta Taylor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Teri Taylor, daughter, Jennifer, and his uncle Warren Michaels.

Brian is lovingly remembered by his surviving family: Vesta and Tom Nave, Llew and Colei Taylor; grandchildren Justin, Thomas, Bean, Kesena, and Mayah; his sister Linda Holmes; his Aunt Veda Michaels; cousins Bonnie, Ron, and Gary Michaels; and niece and nephews Jaimmey, Eric, and Aeron.

Brian spent much of his career as a dedicated steelworker for B&W. Outside of work, he was a man of many passions. A devoted rock and mineral collector, he was also a talented researcher and photographer. Brian was keenly interested in coin and stamp collecting, lapidary work, craftsmanship, history, and the natural world, which he expressed through his lifelong hobbies.

Those who knew Brian will remember his sharp mind, witty humor, and curiosity, which drove him to explore and appreciate the world around him. His love for family and steadfast friendships will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 beginning at 1:00PM at Moraine State Park, Pavilion 4.

Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER-HYDE Funeral & Cremation Services located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.

    Brian was an old dear friend I remember all his beautiful leather work especially the tiffany lamp shade and my cigarette case he had a wonderful sense of humor, the first time I met Brian he had his back to me and his voice sounded just like Jack Nickleson the actor. RIP my friend you will be dearly missed.
