Mr. Mark L. Grim, 70, of Shenango Township passed away on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at the UPMC Jamison Hospital in New Castle. Mark was born in Monaca on February 2nd, 1952 to the late Melvin and Mary (Yambrisic) Grim. He is a member of the Monaca High School class of 1970, and graduated from Robert Morris College in 1974 with a degree in marketing. While in high school Mark played football, baseball, basketball, and played trumpet in the schools marching band. John George DeGruttola, Jr., 93, of Davis Road died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his residence in Ellwood City. He was born on March 27, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late John G. and Josephine (Nessenthaler) DeGruttola, Sr. He married Lucy Marie (Memo) DeGruttola on September 6, 1952, she survives in Ellwood City. Mr. DeGruttola was a Structural Iron Worker for Local #207 in Youngstown, OH, retiring after 43 years. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Fort Bragg as a paratrooper. LeVerne M. Burns formerly of Ross Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 7th 2022 at her residence. LeVerne was born in Pittsburgh to the late Charles and Eleanor (Klein) Peaco. She graduated from the Mt. Alvernia High School with the class of 1945. During her time in Ross Township, LeVerne volunteered as Chairman of the American Cancer Society and was very active in the Women’s Democratic Club. Claudette was born in Orlando, Florida on February 21st, 1958 to the late Fred Jenkins and Dorothy (Crowe) Jenkins of Utah. She had graduated from high school in Bismarck, North Dakota. On Sunday, June 5th, 2022, Joseph “Keith” Jacobs, loving husband and father passed away at age 72. Born May 27th, 1950 in Ellwood City, a son to the late Joseph and late Yetta (Baker) Jacobs. Carol A. Parker, 84, of Ellwood City, passed away at the Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Born in Beaver Falls on July 3, 1937, Carol was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Buckenhiemer Behringer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Mr. Raymond Pratt, 85, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Pratt was born on November 18th, 1936 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph and Anna (Canavin) Pratt. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1954 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. After high school, Ray enlisted with the U.S. Air Force on July 12th, 1954 and served until his discharge on January 11th, 1958.
