Margaret “Marge” (Andino) Lombardi, 90

Mrs. Margaret “Marge” (Andino) Lombardi, 90, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the Ellwood City Hospital.

Mrs. Lombardi was born on December 1, 1926 in Beaver Falls to the late Pietro and Ortenzia Puteri Andino. Marge is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Christian Mothers of the Holy Redeemer Church. She had worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill, Armstrong Cork, Morini’s Grocery Store, Dom’s Grocery Store, and Romar Textile. She was also a member of the Opti Mrs. Club. Marge was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy (Richard) Jones of Braselton, GA, Angela (Kevin) Metz of McDonough, GA, and Joanne (James) Shumaker of Ellwood City, her son, Gene (Carolina) Lombardi of Pittsburgh, her grandchildren, Jodi Barros, Eric Shumaker, Stephen Shumaker, and Francesco Lombardi, and her great grandchild, Antonio Barros. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Andino of Beaver Falls and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene F. “Gino” Lombardi whom she married on May 29, 1948 and passed away on March 18, 1911, her sisters, Carmella Mitchell, Delphine Gidaro, and Carmella Andino in infancy and her brothers, Amerigo Andino in infancy, and Peter Andino.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Zachary Galiyas officiating. Entombment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum. Member of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday by 9:50 am to form an honor guard. Those attending the mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday by 9:20 am. Memorial donations in Marge’s name may be made to the charity of the donors choosing.
