Lincoln High Senior Receives The Holy Redeemer Social Club Scholarship

Emily Borroni, a senior at Lincoln High School was awarded the Holy Redeemer Social Club Scholarship on May 24th at the organization’s monthly meeting. Emily, the daughter of Jeff and Stephanie Borroni of Ellwood City, was presented with the award by President John Pansera. The $1,000.00 scholarship is presented to a graduation senior and member of the parish who provides superior service to her parish, community and school. EC Historical Society Announces Scholarship Winners

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society awarded its Annual Robert and Janice Barensfeld Scholarship Awards to Emily Ann Borroni and Hayden Christopher Panek at a meeting Wednesday May 5th. The meeting was opened by Everett Bleakney, president of the Society. He first explained the appreciation of all who had entered essays to be judged. Bleakney stated that the History Society was blessed to be able to continue giving these awards. BC3 To Award 11 New Scholarships

(Butler, PA) The Butler County Community College Education Foundation will award 11 new named scholarships to registered students for the 2021-2022 academic year. Scholarships are available to students who have registered for fall 2021 academic courses, to students in all of BC3’s 56 associate degree and 22 certificate programs, and to students attending all BC3 locations. The new named scholarships bring the foundation’s financial awards to 142, which collectively total approximately $200,000. LHS Class of ’57 Announces Second Scholarship Opportunity

A second scholarship, worth $2,000, will be offered this year, in addition to the $5,000 scholarship and $500 essay award given by the 1957 Lincoln High School graduating class. The $2,000 award is designated for a 2021 Lincoln High School graduate who will continue his or her education for two years or less at a trade school, community college, nursing or cosmetology program or similar school. Two Lincoln High School students received scholarships from the Lincoln High School Class of 1957. Hannah Rose Keally is this year’s recipient of the $5,000 scholarship given by the Lincoln High School Class of 1957 while Levi Alexander Smith received the $500 best essay award from the Class of ’57. (Ellwood City) Levi Smith and Kathryn Coyne, graduates of Lincoln and Riverside high schools, respectively, have been selected to receive $750 scholarships from the Ellwood City Hungarian Home. Smith, a son of Joanne Smith of Harmony, plans to attend Drexel University in Philadelphia this fall and major in accounting.
