Riverside senior and golf standout Justin Hand signed his NCAA National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 13th to play collegiate golf at Tiffin University in Ohio. Hand played well and qualified for the PIAA Western Regional golf finals in September and also participated in the 2019 US Junior Amateur Championship in July. Shirts Now Available For ‘Pink Out’ Challenge

T-shirts are available at Ellwood City, Riverside, Beaver Falls, and Shenango schools and the non-profit Club Hope Foundation for a challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “The Pink Out Challenge this year is between Ellwood City, Riverside, Shenango and Beaver Falls,” said Cara Atkinson, found of Club Hope Foundation. High School Football Season Passes Now On Sale

Football season passes for our two great, local high school football teams are now on sale! For Ellwood City, tickets are on sale in the main office at Lincoln High School. (six homes games) Adult $20.00, Student $5.00, Super Fan student passes are $10.00 this pass will get the student into all athletic events for this school year. Senior citizen passes are also available in the main office. For Riverside, all season tickets are sold at the gate the night of the first game. RACE Swim Team Hosting Tryouts

Riverside Senior Shines But Misses Cut For U.S. Junior Amateur Golf Championship

Justin Hand, a soon-to-be-senior at Riverside High School, finished with a second-round 77 last Tuesday, missing the cut after his first two rounds (76+77=153) at the 2019 US Junior Amateur Championship. Hand had qualified for the tournament after finishing first in a field of 46 golfers at a sectional qualifier held in June at Grove City Country Club. Three players finished -4 to top the leaderboard after two days. Riverside’s promenade is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Friday, May 10. Students will arrive at the high school cafeteria by 5:30, where formal photos can be taken. Riverside Superintendent Set To Step Down

Riverside’s current superintendent, Dr. Dave Anney, will be serving his last day on June 28th. This announcement was made during Riverside’s school board meeting on Monday, April 15. “The best part of being an administrator is when you have the chance to help someone in some way and then you eventually see them turn into productive and responsible adults,” said Dr. Anney.
