Mayor Court has announced today that the Ellwood City community will once again turn their properties into beautiful landscapes, bring the neighborhoods back to life for everyone to enjoy. This will be the 7th year that Mayor Court will present “Beautification Awards” and restaurant certificates to six (6) area residents who are nominated for taking pride in their properties throughout Ellwood City. State Low-Interest Loan to Help North Sewickley Township Fire Department Purchase Truck, Says Bernstine

BEAVER FALLS – State Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-New Beaver) announced today that Pennsylvania’s Volunteer Loan Assistance Program has approved a $200,000 low-interest loan for the North Sewickley Township Volunteer Fire Department. A walk to the natural trail at Rodger’s Park yesterday confirmed the eagles of Ellwood City have again returned to their nest to raise this years hatchlings! Along the banks of the Connoquenessing Creek in Wayne Township is a family of bald eagles. Every year, since 2010, the couple has returned to the same nest to raise eaglets. To find the nest, drive to Rodger’s Park in Ellport, colloquially referred to as “The Hole,” and walk down the nature trail toward the Connoquenessing and several islands. Wolverines defeated Freedom Area 16-1 on Tuesday thanks in part to Brooklyn Magill, who drove in four runners. Magill drove in runs on a single in the second, a single in the fourth, and a single in the fifth. Wolverines collected 16 hits. Lyme Disease is spreading wildly across eastern America, with Pennsylvania leading the nation for the most reported cases.
