Mrs. Normajean Lonkert, 90, of Franklin Twp., formerly North Sewickley Twp., passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in the Heritage Valley Medical Center Emergency Room. Mrs. Lonkert was born on October 12, 1926 in Beaver Falls to the late Henry and Mary Thompson Bischoff. She had attended Beaver Falls High School. Normajean had worked at the Beaver Valley medical Center in the admissions department as a clerk for many years. She is a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Franklin Twp.. Delinquent Utility Bill Information for Landlords and Tenants

Due to some ongoing misconceptions between the electric utility, landlords, and tenants, the Borough has released two informational letters discussing the manner in which delinquent utility bills can best be addressed. If a landlord or tenant has not already received the information, they can do so by checking the Borough website or a hard copy may be obtained directly through the Ellwood City Municipal Building. Suboxone Clinic Opens in Ellwood City

Controversially, a suboxone clinic located on Pershing Street only a few blocks from the hospital has recently opened as an attempt to combat opiate addictions in the area. After the positive results of operating another suboxone clinic at their Bridgeville location, Freedom Healthcare Services was requested to open another clinic for the cause in Ellwood City.
