POLICE: Woman Found Shot Dead In Truck In Perry Township

A homicide investigation is underway after a woman was found shot dead inside a Toyota pickup truck overnight Friday. According to the police report, and at approximately 3:17 a.m. on Saturday, PA State Police located a vehicle over a hillside along River Road in Perry Township near Butler Avenue. Emergency responders found a 39-year-old female from Corry, PA deceased inside the truck, partially over a hillside, with an apparent gunshot wound. Borough Council Extends Invite to ECASD Board of Directors to Discuss Softball Field Location Options

Speaking on behalf of the Borough of Ellwood City, Borough Solicitor Ed Leymarie said during Monday night’s meeting that the borough would be glad to meet with the Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors to discuss an alternate location for the girl’s softball field. THEFT: Thomas Reed, 36, of New Castle, is charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking after an incident on July 28th. According to a criminal complaint, and at approximately 9:03 a.m. police received a call from a victim in regards to credit card theft and who related her debit card was stolen from her husbands vehicle while he was at work.
