Mr. Smilak was born in New Brighton on September 11th, 1948 to the late Alex and Rose (Simko) Smilak. He is a member of the Beaver Falls High School class of 1966. Kathleen “Kathy” Russo, 75, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio. Susan Elizabeth Pratt, 66, passed away peacefully at UPMC Jameson Hospital on June 1, 2023, after a six-year battle with cancer. She was born on October 22, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late Dominick and Elizabeth Pratt.  Susan graduated from Lincoln Jr.-Sr. High School in Ellwood City in 1974. She continued her education at Beaver County Community College, graduating in 1980 with an associate degree in medical laboratory technology.
