Weston L. “Buck” Altman, 91, of North Beaver Township passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Avalon Place. Born June 30, 1932 in Cabot, he was the son of the late Mont and Alice Rath Altman. He was married to Marlene Joyce Doutt Altman for 62 years when she passed away on September 3, 2017. Buck enlisted in the Army in 1953 serving in the Korean Conflict as a Sgt. Nancy J. Uber, 77, of New Castle (formerly of Wayne Township) passed away late evening Saturday, July 8, 2023 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital. Nancy was born on February 10, 1946 in Ellwood City to Earl W. and Martha Eleanor Craven Hennon. She attended Chewton and Shenango Schools before graduating from Ellwood City in 1964. Joseph was born at the Beaver Valley Medical Center on January 3rd, 1982 to the late Joseph Carmen Mangelli, Sr. and Jamie (Hamilton) Brightwell of Koppel. Arthur F. Lowrie III, 61, of Ellwood City passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, July 1st, 2023. Arthur was born on January 11th, 1962 in Pittsburgh to Arthur F. and Joanne (Griffin) Lowrie Jr.. Artie attended Lincoln High School and The Culinary Institute of Pittsburgh, which included a trip to Paris. He loved the cellars where the cheeses were made. Arthur P. “Art” Pistachio, 65, of New Castle passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at UPMC – Jameson Hospital following a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Born November 12, 1957 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Greco Pistachio. Art had graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976. Joan Leo, 60, of Ellport, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 in her residence following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on November 18, 1962 in Mt. Lebanon, Joan was the daughter of the late Jim and Rosalie Vaglia Wold.  She retired from Andritz Herr-Voss Stamco as an accounting supervisor after 28 years.  Joan was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  She enjoyed camping, dancing and walking.  She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren.
