Bonnie V. Dawson, 83, of North Sewickley Twp., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at Evergreen Nursing Center. Born in Ellwood City on Oct. 28, 1931, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lady Dot Coates Butler. She married William E. Dawson on Aug. 12, 1949 and he preceded her in death this past December. Bonnie was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was an avid reader who enjoyed bird watching. Jacob M. “Jake” Mazzanti, Sr., 92, of Ellport passed away in his residence on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at 11:22 am. Born in Ellwood City on Feb. 2, 1923, Jacob was the son of the late Alfredo and Mary Lordo Mazzanti. He married the former Mollie Nocera on July 9, 1947. Jake graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942 and then served in the US Army during WWII. He retired from US Steel in 1977 where he worked as an inspector. David L. Biddle, 73, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 in his residence with his loving family at his bedside. Mr. Biddle was born on Aug. 29, 1942 in Ellwood City to the late Galen Biddle, Sr. and Hazel Alben Biddle. Dave had worked for over thirty years as a heavy equipment mechanic for the Eichley Corp. in Pittsburgh. He also was the owner and operator of D&P Sales where he made customized caps and campers for pickup trucks. Joseph E. Bowman, 79, of Fletcher Hill Road, Wampum (Shenango Twp.) passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at the Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville following an extended illness. Born April 18, 1936 in Wampum, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy Pierson Bowman. Joseph retired from Babcock & Wilcox where he worked in the shipping department from 1963-1985.
