Robert A. Hegedus Sr. of Ellwood City went home to his Lord on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Bob was78 years old and a friend to many. Bob was a highly respected manager at Universal Rundle Corporation in the Computer Department and the first to employ a physically challenged person. After his retiring from Universal Rundle he helped maintain the computers at Holy Redeemer School. Mr. John Steele Smith, 89, of New Brighton passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 in the Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls, Pa. Mr. Smith was born on November 14, 1926 to the late Melvin and Camella Steele Smith. John enlisted with the U.S. Navy and served from 1944 to 1946 as a Yeoman in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. John had worked at Westinghouse Corporation for 35 years.
