Terry L. McCandless, 57, of First Ave., Ellwood City passed away at home,surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 11, 2016 following an extended illness. Born June 1, 1959 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Elsie A. Newton McCandless Sr. He was married to Cathy Yeykal McCandless who passed away in 2012. Terry graduated from Lincoln High School. He had formerly worked at Wiley Heating and Alsy Lighting in Ellwood City, and A-C Plus in Burnstown. Richard James Duncan, 42, of Portersville (Perry Twp.) , died suddenly and accidently from injuries sustained in a car crash on US Route 422 Saturday morning, December 10 2016  near Prospect PA. He was born on June 9, 1974 in Grove City PA to Patricia Duncan of Portersville, and the late James C. Duncan. Arlene M. Kennard, 60, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the Ellwood City Hospital. Arlene was born on September 17, 1956 in Ellwood City to the late Charles and Katheryn Santillo Kennard. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1975 and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Arlene had worked at the Ellwood City Hospital as a nurses aid, Kimmel’s Bakery as a clerk, and at Airway Industries from 1980 until 1984. Luana was born on October 8, 1948 in Ellwood City to the late Louis and Elizabeth Clager Lordi, Sr. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1966, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Mrs. Betty L. Masotti, 80, of Hermitage passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2014 in the Northview Estates. Mrs. Masotti was born on April 6, 1936 in McDonald, Pa to the late Arthur and Esther Wilson Blair. She had worked at the Ellwood City Hospital as a surgical Nurse for many years. Betty later worked as a manager at Sears Optical in Hermitage for several years. She is affiliated with the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Hermitage.
