Evelyn Pearl Dooley, 92, a long time resident of Trinity Oaks in Franklin Township, Ellwood City passed away April 3, 2018. She was born in Franklin Township on February 11, 1926, the daughter of Mr. John and Mrs. Elise Stephenson. She was married to Robert J. Dooley for 55 years; Bob died in 2001. Together on Butler Avenue in Franklin Township, they raised their beautiful daughter Darcy, also deceased. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Scott B.   Martha Leona Moyer, 102, formerly of Ellwood City passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Forest Hill Heights Assisted Living Home in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born May 31, 1915 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Cora D. Marshall Brandon. She was married for 43 years to Earl P. Moyer as they were married on December 21, 1942. He passed away June 21, 1985. Mrs. Moyer graduated from Lincoln High School and from Slippery Rock State Teachers College. Ruth J. Jubach, 87, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 1 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford PA. She was born in Ellwood City on November 2 1930, to the late George and Anna Marie “Oma” Bruner Jubach. Ruth graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City in 1949.  She had worked for a time in the business offices at aircraft companies in California, and also worked for various companies here, including Medusa Cement Company in Wampum.   But she was mainly known here as the longtime secretary to late Attorney Wilbert McKim. David E. Smith, 77, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler. Mr. Smith was born on April 23, 1940 in Lackawanna, NY to the late Norman E. and Marjorie V. (Garasz) Smith. He had graduated from the Lackawanna High School with the class of 1958. Following high school, Dave served with the U.S. Navy from 1959 until his discharge in 1963 on the U.S.S. Intrepid. Mrs. McMichael was born on April 6, 1931 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph and Ida (Cagni) Lance. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. Born June 20, 1931 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Margaret Nagel West . She was married in 1957 to R. Thomas Richards who passed away in 1998. Michael J. McCutcheon, 56, of Kyle Rd., New Castle (North Beaver Twp.) passed away at his home on Friday, March 30, 2018 surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with lymphoma. Patricia G. Quinn Shoaf, 64, of  Beaver Falls (North Sewickley Twp.), passed away peacefully into Jesus’ arms, on  Wednesday evening,  March  28, 2018 after a 16 month  courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Ellwood City on January 5 1954 to the late Warren Quinn and  Emma Virginia Aiken Quinn of  North Sewickley, who survives. Donald Cooper, 81, of Volpes Way, Ellwood City (Wayne Twp.) passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born September 27, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Millard Cooper and the late Emma Tritt Cooper LeFever . He was married to Charlotte Hogue Cooper who survives. Don retired as a millwright in 2000 following 35 years of service at the Ellwood City Forge. Following his retirement, he repaired small engines and lawnmowers.
