Russell H Ehrenberg, 87, of Wampum died on Saturday, October 15, at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following a short illness. Born August 23, 1929 in Beaver Falls, PA, he was raised by his adoptive parents, the late August and Fannie Barr Ehrenberg. He was married 65 years to Kathryn James Ehrenberg, she survives. Russ retired from the New Castle Refractories after 19 years of service. He was affiliated with the Wampum Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed auto repair and maintenance work. Willard F. Deemer, 91, of Glenkirk Road, New Galilee, (New Beaver Boro), passed away peacefully at his home on Friday morning, October 14 2016. He was born in Ellwood City on April 13 1925 to the late Ralph and Marie Francis Deemer. Betty J. Shaffer, 88, of Mercer Rd., Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Carriage Court Assisted Living following a lengthy illness. Born November 10, 1927 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Irene Nevin Hangst. She was married for 49 years to Robert D. “Abe” Shaffer who passed away April 14, 2002. Lynn N. Guy of Wampum went peacefully home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2016 surrounded by all of his loving and devoted family. He was born in Chewton on July 23, 1931 to the late Blanche Aley Guy and Frank J. Guy. Lynn attended Wampum High School and Ellwood City High School. He also attended the New Castle School of trades, studying auto mechanics. A veteran, Lynn served at Camp Irwin in Barstow, CA from 1951-1953. Born March 9, 1923 in Wampum, he was the son of the late William A. and Icle Vogel Brown. He was married for 61 years to Evelyn M. Swogger Brown who passed away September 27, 2006. He was born in Ellwood City on June 26, 1950, to the late W. Paul Wallace and the late Letitia Clyde Wallace. Pete graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, class of 1969.
