Mrs. Irene F. McCrumb (Brangers), 83 went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home in Fombell. Mrs. McCrumb was born in Louisville KY to the late James Basil and Marcella (Olliges) Brangers. Mrs. McCrumb worked for the telephone company as a telephone operator. She met the love of her life, Chester Carlton McCrumb II, who precedes her in death, at a USO dance when he was stationed at Fort Knox, KY. They were married on Derby Day May 7, 1955. Mrs. Ellen Lorraine Altsman, 94, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital. Mrs. Altsman was born on October 19, 1924 in Beaver Falls to the late Martin and Beatrice (Watson) Jennings. Ellen had graduated from the Beaver Falls High School with the class of 1942. She attended the Lillyville Church of God in Franklin Twp.. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed camping, painting, needlework, and had a great love for her family, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren . Nancy M. Pellicano,  77,  of Freedom,  formerly  of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday afternoon, May  5 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage  Valley Beaver. She was born in Farrell PA,  on May 10, 1941, to the late  Anthony  and Josephine Cara Chiurazzi. Nancy graduated from  Farrell  High School. Her family was her pride and joy. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Benjamin R. Pellicano, who died February 21 2016. Ann (Fox) Tweddell, 38, of Ellwood City passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver following a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 11, 1980 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Gary and Lisa (Kimpel) Fox of Ellwood City. She was married to Joseph Tweddell for 15 years. They all survive. Ann graduated from Lincoln High School in 1999. She also graduated from Geneva College with an Engineering Degree. She formerly worked as a Nuclear Engineer at the Beaver Valley Power Station. Helen Marie (Barberio) Lippert, 73, of Ellwood City passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born November 22, 1945 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Abigail Margaret (Hughes) Barberio. For over 20 years, Helen owned and operated the Doll House Beauty Salon then managed the kitchen at McDowell’s Hotel in Koppel. She was very active with Ellwood Girls Softball and instrumental in forming the 13-15 year old league. Her most cherished time was spent with family and she loved being a grandmother.
