Mrs. Geraldine L. Barile, 86, of Ellwood City passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Avalon Nursing Center. Mrs. Barile was born on July 26, 1931 in Ellwood City to the late Robert and Irene Cearfoss Curtis. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. Geraldine is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Christian Mothers of the Holy Redeemer parish. Lois Vance McAnlis, 88, of New Galilee passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Curahealth Heritage Valley following a brief illness. Born September 2, 1929 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Beck Vance . She was married for 67 years to Wayne Sleath McAnlis who passed away February 20, 2018. Lois graduated from Wampum High School in 1947. She was an active member of the Galilean Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and Deacon and she also made the communion bread. Mrs. Grace R. Jance, 93, of Perry Twp. passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Jance was born in Pittsburgh on September 4, 1924 to the late Ralph S. and Mary Ann Neurour Ford. She had graduated from the Westview High School with the class of 1942. Before getting married, Grace worked for the Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, and watching baseball. Edward J. Hozick, 53, of Snake Run Rd., Chewton passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at his residence. Although in ill health, death was unexpected. Born February 29, 1964 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Robert J. “Butsy” Hozick and Helen Louise Rychlicki Hozick of Chewton. Ed graduated from Shenango High School in 1982.
