Lincoln Alumni Basketball Game Tips Before Steeler Event

Before the Pittsburgh Steelers take the court at Lincoln High School on Wednesday night, a co-ed basketball game with players from past boys and girls teams at Lincoln High School will tip off in an alumni contest at 7:00pm. Players include Gino Ceriani, Jenna Riccuiti, Brandon Luccarelli, Anthony Sainato, Michelle Nocera, Mike Trocci, Angela McCowin, Nicole Nocera, Jordan Recce, Allison Marshall, Travis Woodbridge, Asia Borders, Chris Weisz, Vanessa Venezie, and Matt Young. Riverside Panthers Swimmers Ready For PIAA Championships

The 2018 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be taking place this week at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and will feature five hopeful Panther swimmers. The Championships are schedule to take place Tuesday, March 13th through Thursday, March 15th at the Kinney Natatorium on Bucknell University campus. Your two-time defending WPIAL Champion Riverside Panthers are slotted as preseason #1 for Class-3A, Section 2 according to an WPIAL baseball social media account.  Following the Panthers in the section ranking is Ellwood City in third place. Riverside’s Kralic Ties WPIAL Record, Takes 1st Place in 100-yard Butterfly

Riverside senior Dean Kralic tied a WPIAL record Thursday at the Class 2A Swimming Championships at the University of Pittsburgh.  In doing so, Kralic took first place in the 100-yard  butterfly in Class-AA. Kralic won the event with a time of 50.29 seconds and joined several Riverside teammates who placed and advanced to PIAA Championships.  Panthers Josiah Shaffer, Dylan Griffith and Donnie Paracca each placed second in the 200 medley relay. Riverside Swimming To Compete In WPIAL Finals

The Riverside boys will swim at the WPIAL Swimming Championship to be held at the University of Pittsburgh Trees Pool on Thursday, March 1, 2018 & Friday, March 2, 2018. Last week the Riverside boys team placed 3rd at MAC Championships against AAA schools. In the WPIAL Championships, the medley relay is seeded 2nd, the 200 Free is seeded 4th, and the 400 Free relays is seeded 5th. Each swimmer will also participate in individual events. Chambers Takes 2nd Place In Regional, Qualifies For PIAA

Donavin Chambers took 2nd place (132 pounds) at the PIAA Class 2A Southwest Regional Wrestling Tournament Saturday at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Chambers rattled off three straight wins, including a 1-0 decision over Chase Proudfit of Penn Cambria in the semifinal, but fell victim and dropped a 6-3 decision to Alex Miscovich of Mount Pleasant in the title match. In a tightly contest, third meeting between Riverside and Aliquippa Thursday night, a nearly half-court buzzer beating 3-pointer by Will Gipson found the bottom of the net and bounced the Panthers out of the playoffs by way of a 53-50 defeat. The Riverside Girls Basketball team fell to Seton LaSalle Rebels 50-48 in their first round of the WPIAL Class 3A basketball playoffs Wednesday at North Hills High School. After a Rebel missed free throw with 6 seconds left, the Lady Panthers hurried to get a final shot off that misfired. Three Wolverine Wrestlers Place In WPIAL Championships

Three Ellwood City Wolverine Wrestlers Placed in the WPIAL Championships this weekend.  The Championship finals featured 23 wrestlers currently ranked Top 25 in Pennsylvania. Austin Walley used a decision victory over Austin Mele, Burrell, 4-2, to take 3rd place in the 170-pound consolation match.  Walley had ousted Quaker Valley’s Keegan Forsythe in his opening round match, but fell in a decision to Jaden Detz, of Southmoreland, in the semifinals of the 170-pound division.
