“Splash Brothers” Alexander and Joseph Roth combined to score 43 points Friday night to power the visiting Wolverines to a 56-34 victory over Neshannock. Less than two weeks are left until Holy Redeemer’s Golf Bash takes place on Sunday, January 16th. The Cash & Golf Bash will be hosted at the Catholic Center located at 311 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City. Roth, Wolverines Knock Off Rival Riverside

Senior Alexander Roth connected on six 3-pointers en route to his game high 26 points to lead Ellwood City to at 63-40 victory Tuesday Night over rival Riverside. Roth scored 16 points in a first half that saw the Wolverines race out to a 39-24 halftime lead. In a well rounded effort, Roth added five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Wolverines Cruise To Christmas Tournament Championship

Ellwood City traveled north for the Mercer Christmas Tournament and found no resistance in District 10 as the Wolverines earned the tournament championship Tuesday evening. The defending WPIAL Class-3A Champions defeated Saegertown 77-36 on Monday and then host Mercer 74-49 on Tuesday. The Splash Brothers, Alexander and Joseph Roth, each scored 47 points over the two-game tournament. Tomak Scores 5 Goals, Leads Wilmington Hockey To Victory

The Wilmington Co-op Hockey team upset a first place Carrick hockey team by a score of 9-8 Monday behind an impressive five goal game by Ellwood City senior Drake Tomak. The visiting Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-1 first period and 9-4 advantage after two periods before holding off Carrick for the victory. Steve Antuono, Jr. hit a career scoring milestone Monday night in front of a home crowd, netting his 1,000th career point at the free throw line in the third quarter of the Wolverines non-section contest versus Union Area.
