Senior Joseph Roth poured in a career-high 51 points Friday Night but Ellwood City lost in a 82-77 shootout to the section-leading Mohawk Warriors. The 51 points set a school record, breaking the old mark of 48 set by Theron Colao in 2004. Joseph Roth scored 31 points, including 23 in the second half, as Ellwood City knocked off Neshannock 54-47 Tuesday night at Lincoln High School. The victory avenges a December loss to the Lancers and puts Ellwood City (10-6 Overall, 5-2 Section 3A-1) only one section victory behind section co-leaders Mohawk and Neshannock.
