Ellwood City Cross Country Team Claims Undefeated Section Championship

The Ellwood City Boys Cross Country team are undefeated Section Champs! The Wolverines, under the direction of head coach Nate Brown, finished off their cross town rival Riverside 20-39 and Mohawk 23-34 Tuesday afternoon to wrap up their undefeated season. Ellwood City Girls Basketball To Hold Youth Clinic

Let’s Bounce. The Ellwood City Girls Basketball team, including Head Coach Dena Noble, along with her staff and players, will be hosting a basketball clinic for girls in Grades 3-6. The clinic is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 4th and Saturday, November 11th. Both days are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Lincoln High School large gymnasium. Wrona, Mohawk Use Aerial Attack To Down Ellwood City 38-14

Jay Wrona tossed four touchdowns, including one with time expired in the first half, to lead Mohawk to its 38-14 victory Friday night at Helling Stadium. The section-leading Warriors used the arm of Wrona and a stout defense to earn the victory. The WPIAL’s leading rusher, Elijah Palmer-McCane was bottled up on the ground, finishing with just 35 yards on 11 carries for the Wolverines. The Riverside Panthers were defeated Friday night 41-6 by Beaver Falls at Riverside Memorial Stadium. After the team exchanged scores to open the section contest, Beaver Falls (3-3 Overall) scored six straight times including a safety, punt return, and interception return to pull away. Keller Takes 1st Place At Tam O’Shanter Invitational

The Ellwood City golf team placed 2nd overall as a team in the 42nd Tam O’Shanter Boys High School Invitational on Tuesday. 32 Teams and 160 Golfers participated in the invitational. Sophomore sensation Jordan Keller claimed the individual champion with a round of 72.
