Newborn’s Body Found Under Porch of Home on Ellwood Road

Brittany Robinson, 23, of Shenango Township is facing charges of homicide, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the death of a child after the body of her newborn was found hidden under the porch of a home on Ellwood Road. The owner of a home in the 3200 block on Ellwood Road called the police on Sunday, who then found the infant’s body hidden in a crawlspace outside. We are often told to be alert for drunk drivers on New Year’s Eve, but did you know that it’s the least likely holiday to experience a crash, with the Thanksgiving holiday ranking most likely in Pennsylvania? Several Pounds of Marijuana Seized According to the criminal complaint, after being stopped for a turn signal violation, Dwight Andre Campbell, 45, of Altoona, Pa., appeared to be extremely nervous – he was sweating excessively and his hands were visibly shaking. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. After searching the vehicle the officer located approximately five pounds of vacuum sealed marijuana in a box for home security cameras. Mayor’s Advisory Meeting Recap

On Thursday, October 26, 2017 Mayor Court held his monthly Mayor’s Advisory meeting. Discussion of many topics including the upcoming Drug Take-Back program that would be held by the Police Department and the Halloween Parade that will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Other topics discussed were the street improvement in and throughout Ellwood City are nearly complete. The Ellwood City Police Department issued the following warning to area residents: The Police Department has received inquiries about a possible scam involving local utilities (Electric, Gas, Water and Sewage). A resident reported receiving a call (Red Flag #1) that their utility bill was past due and their utility would be shut off if the individual didn’t WIRE MONEY (Red flag #2) to them in the next 20 minutes (Red Flag #3). New Brighton Police Department Release Photos of Burglar, Ask Public for Help to Identity

The New Brighton Police Department are asking for help finding a burglar whose been seen on home security system footage. The surveillance was taken at a home on 10th Street in New Brighton, and much like the recent story we reported on in Shenango Township, this burglar is going into people’s houses when they are home and stealing from them. Ellwood City Man Facing Endangering Welfare of Children Charges

Charles Ray Murray, 38, of Ellwood City, is facing charges after leaving four young children at home without any adult supervision while he went out to play cards. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to Murray’s Crescent Avenue residence by the biological mother of his children after she was talked to their 11-year-old over the phone who stated they were unsupervised in the residence.
