Man Charged With Burglary, Trespassing & Threats In Wayne Township

On Friday, October 12, just after 10:00 p.m, state police were called to a house on Guy Way, Wayne Township with reports of a white male breaking into a females home.

The witness that called in stated he was throwing a party with a group of his friends when he noticed the male entering his neighbors home. He proceeded to then go to his neighbors house and observed the male, who he identified as the victims ex-boyfriend Zachary Dinell, 25, of Freedom, ransacking the living room and kitchen.

When the witness threatened to call the police, Dinell ran to a black 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and drove in an unknown direction. The witness proceeded to call the victim to inform them of the incident.

The victim then told police that at 1:00 a.m on Friday, October 12, they had gotten into a verbal altercation with Dinell over their relationship. It was then that Dinell threatened to kill the victim, which is why they did not report him, due to their fear.

The victim also told police that this had not been the first time Dinell had attempted to break into their house. He has tried on multiple attempts, which has resulted in over $1,000 dollars in property damages.

Zachary Dinell was arrested by police and has been charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, and making terroristic threats. Dinell was released from the Lawrence County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
