Local Women Suffers Identity Theft

On Monday October 15 at 12:00 p.m., a local women reported that she was sent a $304.60 phone bill from Verizon Wireless for two cell phone lines she had not opened. When contacted, Verizon refused to release who opened the accounts, how they did it, and the mailing address where the two phones had been sent to. No suspect names have been released.

Man Kicked Out Of Two Bars, Found Walking Backwards On Bridge

Roger May, 47, of Fombell was charged with Public Drunkenness and Criminal Mischief on Wednesday October 3.

May had been kicked out of Double Dealing Cafe/Bar at 12:00 Midnight on the third, and shortly thereafter was kicked out of the Keystone Bar.  May was reported seen walking backward on the Sims Street bridge. He was found and finally apprehended in the Ellwood City Medical Center parking lot by police after a report of suspicious behavior by a Pershing Street residence.

May was arrested and placed into a holding cell after he became argumentative with police. May was then charged with Public Drunkenness and Criminal Mischief.

Out Of State Male Charged For Public Drunkenness.

A 28-year-old male from Lake Village, Indiana was given a citation for Public Drunkenness this past weekend.

The male and a female, a resident of Loop Street, were found stumbling along Loop Street late Saturday evening. The women was seen by police patrolling the area with a glass bottle in hand.

The two were walking, the female supporting the male as the walked East on 400 Block Loop Street, but when they noticed a police vehicle they turned and began walking West.

The police officer followed them to the women’s home on Loop Street where he then arrested the male and placed him in custody.

The male was released 5 hours later with a citation for Public Drunkenness.
