POLICE: Four Cars Damaged At Local Auto Dealership

Four Cars Damage At Local Auto Dealership:

On Monday September 24 at 1:07 p.m, Napleton Automotive manager Ray Reale called Ellwood City Police with a report that four of the cars in the Napelton lot had been damaged sometime between 8:00 p.m on Saturday September 23 and 12:00 p.m on Monday September 24.

The cars appear to have been keyed on the front bumper or on the hood of the cars. The cars damaged were as followed: a 2018 Grey Dodge Journey with damages to the front bumper, a 2018 Grey Jeep Compass with damage done to the hood of the vehicle, a 2018 White Jeep Cherokee with damage to the front bumper, and another 2018 Grey Dodge Journey with damages to the hood.

Reale suspects the damages may have been caused by a previous Napleton Auto employee.

Mans License Seized and Suspended:

On Saturday September 29, Steven Thomas, 22, turned the wrong way down the one way street between Jefferson Street and Sims Street.

Thomas claimed to have “only seen the sign too late” after he was pulled over for continuing to drive down the street in his 2011 Blue Mazda 3I.

Thomas has been charged with a seized/surrendered license, ultimately ending with his license being suspended.

A Women’s Previous Break-In Leads To A Stolen Car:

At 7:00 a.m on Saturday September 29, Ashley Hysell of Hazen Avenue, Ellwood City, reported that her 2013 Black Chevy Sonic Sedan had been stolen from her driveway during the night.

Hysell said that her house had been previously broken into, in which the burglar had taken her spare set of car keys.

No suspect has been named.

Church Hit and Run:

Jill Gaiser reported at 7:32 p.m on Friday September 28 that her car had been involved in a hit and run.

Gaiser said she had been at the Christ Presbyterian Church until 7:00 p.m that day. when she went to her car to leave she noticed that her 2018 Black Chevrolet Equinox had damages to the passenger side.

No suspects have been filed while the request for the church parking lot surveillance footage for the day is being reviewed.
