Pickleball Court a “Hit” in Ewing Park

If you have noticed something new this year in Ewing Park … it’s probably the pickleball court. Councilwoman Judith Dici saw the sport growing in popularity and when she realized that it was a sport that many ages and skill levels could enjoy, she decided to bring the idea to Ellwood City Borough Council. Franklin Township hosted its 10th Annual National Night Out event Tuesday amid cooler summer temperatures at the Franklin Plaza in Ellwood City. The event was sponsored by Plassmeyer Towing. The free event, open to the public, featured activities for children, fire safety, CPR training, prize giveaways, and food vendors. Borough Online Payment System Still Not Functioning

In a post made available Monday morning, the Borough of Ellwood City has reminded and notified its electric customers that their PayDici online payment portal is still not functioning. The borough advises that payments are to be made in person via check, mailing a check, or calling in to make payment by credit card over the phone. Route 351 Paving Begins Next Week in Lawrence, Beaver Counties

Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 351 in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County and Wayne Township, Lawrence County will begin Monday, July 31 weather permitting. Improvement work, including milling and paving, drainage upgrades, base and shoulder repairs, guide rail updates, pavement marking installation, and other various construction related activities, will occur on Route 351 between River Road in North Sewickley Township and 13th Street in Wayne Township. The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II met on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at their shelter in Ewing Park. Each year the Wolves Club hosts an appreciation dinner for their members, their wives and significant others who have volunteered at their three fundraisers during the year.
