Independence Health System Offering Health Fair & Screening Event

BUTLER – Specialists from Independence Health System, Butler area, will present the latest advances in technique and technology at a free health fair and screenings event on Saturday, November 11, from 8 am- 1 pm, at 127 & 129 Oneida Valley Road, Crossroads Campus.

The event is open to the public, featuring multiple presentations by health system physicians regarding the latest innovative surgical and treatment options available in bariatric surgery, breast surgery, urologic surgery, endocrinology, vascular surgery, and includes heart-healthy cooking demonstrations by members of the Lifestyle Coaching team.

A cardiovascular health screening will be available to participants who pre-register before November 11, by calling 724-431-2905. The health screening is free and includes a health assessment, BMI, BP screening, lab work, EKG, vascular screening, and carotid screening. Walk-ins will not be accepted for the cardiovascular health screening.

Additional resources and information will be available throughout the day including, diabetes and endocrine education, free hernia screenings (pre-registration not required), Hands Only CPR & use of an AED, lab and imaging services, Lifestyle Coaching resources, Food Institute resources, mammography screenings (based on insurance eligibility), women’s care, primary care, general surgery, urology resources, and more. Representatives from the Care Center and Patient Portal will be available to help answer questions, schedule appointments, and assist with portal sign-ups.

Doors open at 8 a.m., with the first presentation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Each presenter will talk for approximately 20 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A. Seating is available, and complimentary refreshments will be provided.
