Annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive Scheduled For November 21

The annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive has been announced and scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Hogue was only 28 when his life was taken on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club.

A blood drive is held every year near the anniversary of Richard’s death so that a priceless gift can be given to other families in his honor according to his mother Debra Murdock.

“We know we can never bring Richard back but we have chosen to teak our pain and turn it into supporting life,” Murdock said last year.

The blood drive will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Center Administrative Center Lunch Room, 300 Crescent Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117.  Donors are asked to park in the rear lot of the center

Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted.
