Winter weather is in the forecast for the next several upcoming weeks – a complete change-up of last year’s weather around this time. Last year we experienced a good portion of December in temperatures upwards of 60-some degrees, with December 26th, 2016, holding a high temperature record of 62 degrees. Slippery Rock University Receives Grant to Train Veterans to be Teachers, Bernstine Says

State Rep. VIDEO: 85 Year Old Ellport Man Shoots, Kills Home Invader

According to WPXI, early this morning around 1:30a.m., 85-year-old Ellport resident, Don Lutz came face to face with two intruders inside his home on Jamison Avenue. UPDATED W/ VIDEO: Ellwood Man Wanted for Rape and Assault of Elderly Woman

According to a news article posted today by New Castle News, 21-year-old Devin James Myers, of 2 Fifth Street, Apt. 4, Ellwood City, is wanted on a warrant for the alleged beating and rape of a 66-year-old-woman. After following a 2 1/2 year investigation the Ellwood City police have charged Myers, who was 18 at the time, in connection with an alleged break-in of the woman’s residence early in the morning on April 5, 2015. Commissioners Honor BC3, Present Proclamation to Native Ellwood City Graduate

Butler, PA- Butler County Commissioners Leslie Osche, Kimberly Geyer and Kevin Boozel on Wednesday recognized Butler County Community College’s back-to-back rankings as the No. 1 community college in Pennsylvania by presenting a proclamation to BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer during the board’s public meeting. BREAKING: Accident on Route 65

Your morning commute may be slowed down if you plan on taking Route 65 near Mercer Road. There are several police, firemen and paramedics on the scene currently.
