CCBC Selected As Nationwide Recipient Of Metallica Scholars Initiative

Monaca, PA – Community College of Beaver County (CCBC), is proud to announce its selection as one of 15 nationwide recipients to join Year 7 of the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). Supported by a generous $75,000 grant, CCBC will use the funding to support students in its Air Traffic Control (ATC) specialist program for the 2025-2026 academic year. As part of the initiative, CCBC will allocate $60,000 of the grant directly to scholarships, providing $1,000 per student—distributed as $500 in the Fall and $500 in the Spring semesters. Vogel: Senate-Led Spending Plan Focuses on Immediate Critical Service Funding

HARRISBURG – The Senate advanced a responsible spending plan aimed at providing immediate funding support to counties, school districts, social service providers and other services in need of critical resources, according to Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47). While the 2025-26 state budget negotiations continue, Senate Bill 160 would provide funding at the levels included in the final 2024-25 state budget. Final 2025 Beautification Award Winner Announced

Mayor Anthony J. Court awarded the final 2025 Beautification Award to Charlotte Regna of 860 Constitution Avenue. “Charlotte’s dedication is clearly reflected in her beautiful yard, her efforts have truly paid off,” said Mayor Court.
