January’s guest speaker at the Ellwood City Area Historical Society’s monthly meeting on the 13th will be acclaimed local author and visual artist, Lynda McKinney Lambert. A retired Professor of Fine Arts at Geneva College, Lynda’s poetry and non-fiction essays have been published in a variety of literary journals, anthologies, and academic writings, as well as her personal accomplishments that are featured in several books. Lynda’s unique personal story involves her sudden and profound loss of sight in 2007 that she had to overcome through intensive rehabilitation. (Butler, PA) Butler County Community College will host the nation’s longest-running multicultural song and dance company when the Tamburitzans – “high-energy” university and technical school students spiraling in a “kaleidoscope of colors” to Old World and world music – return to Succop Theater on Jan. 17 and for the first time since selling out the 442-seat venue in 2018.
