Ellwood City Library Activities for the week of June 22

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

NOTE

The Library will be doing curbside pickup starting this week. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. Limitations for patrons are 10 books and three, either books on CD or DVD’s, per person. All patrons must wear a mask when entering the lobby and wait until there are less than three people in the lobby. We are still doing our returns in specially marked containers in our parking lot area. Please do not put any donated books in these bins. 724-758-6458 is the number to call with requests.

New hours for curbside and returns will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Activities taking place this week include.

TUESDAY, JUNE 23

10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. – Library material returns in the specially marked bins and curbside pick-up.

11:00 a.m. – “Picture This” a program for students in 2nd – 5th grade. Storyteller, Mike Perry, will be the presenter and it will appear virtually on Zoom. Children will receive an invitation through email 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.

2:00 p.m. – “Book Bunch Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “The Mad, Mad, Mad, Treasure Hunt” by Megan McDonald. The meeting is held virtually on Zoom.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24

10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Library material returns in the specially marked bins and curbside pick-up.

2:00 p.m. “Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds!” a program for students in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. A story will be read and a craft will be demonstrated each week that can be done at home. This program will appear on Zoom. Children will receive an invitation to join the program by email about 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.

6:00 p.m. “Family Laptime” It will air on Facebook live, sign up by calling the library Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

THURSDAY, JUNE 25

10:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. – Library material returns in the specially marked bins and curbside pick-up.

2:00 p.m. – “Food 4 Thought Book Group,” the group will be discussing the book “One of Us is Lying” by Karen M. McManus. The meeting is held virtually on Zoom.
