Ellwood City Library Activities for the week of June 8, 2020

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

NOTICE

The Ellwood City Area Public Library will be taking return books starting on Tuesday June 9. From that point on books will be accepted in specially marked return bins located in the Library’s parking lot Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Only Library books and Interlibrary Loan Books are to be placed in these bins, NO donated books please. There is also a special bin designated for audio books on CD, CD’s and DVD’s. Please keep checking for when our curbside pick-up begins.

The Library will be hosting Virtual Programs this summer, here is a list of the upcoming programs:

Family Laptime will be Wednesday June 17- Wednesday July 15 beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will air on Facebook live, sign up by calling the library on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Picture This for students in 2nd – 5th grade. Storyteller, Mike Perry, will be the presenter for this new program which will appear virtually on Zoom. Begins 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 16 – Tuesday July 14. Children will receive an invitation to join the program by email about 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.

Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds! For kids in Kindergarten – 3rd grade. A story will be read and a craft will be demonstrated each week that can be done at home. This program will appear on Zoom beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday June 17 – Wednesday July 15. Children will receive an invitation to join the program by email about 5 – 10 minutes before the program begins. Participants must be signed up to attend.

Exquisite Corpse – New Teen Program. Each person will add to either a writing prompt or a piece of artwork without knowing what the entire project contains. The final project will be on the Library’s Facebook page. Begins Friday June 19th. Email to sign up at Childrenslib@zoominternet.net. The time between sessions depends on the number of teens involved. Any questions can be emailed to the above email address.
