You Gotta Regatta: Moraine State Park Regatta Returns In August

PORTERSVILLE, PA – The Moraine State Park Regatta is scheduled for August 6-8, 2021. This year’s regatta will look different from past years, as event organizers decided to refresh the event with a renewed focus on eco-recreation and promoting Moraine State Park. At a time when people are staying close Moraine State Park Regatta 2021 to home, and enjoying the outdoors even more with their families, the regatta’s goal is to give people from all  over the region an opportunity to try different forms of outdoor recreational activities at the park. Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County Hanging Ribbons For Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Every 73 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County is aiming to shed light on the problem in hopes of changing the narrative that affects 1 in 3 females and 1 in 4 males according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. The Crisis Shelter will be coming into Ellwood City to put teal bows up on the light posts, and will additionally place yard signs around town in public community spaces. PART 2: The Lincoln High School Musical Returns! Cast Q&A

[This is the second of our 2-Part Series spotlighting the Annual LHS Musical] The beloved Ellwood City Area School District’s musical and theatrical performances have finally returned to the stage with The Addams Family Musical. Franklin Township Clean-Up Day Announced

Clean up your yard, clean up your home, and clean up your garage! Franklin Township residents are invited to participate in a township clean-up day planned for Saturday, May 1, 2021. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until 2:00 p.m. for township residents. Residents can drop off trash at the Franklin Township Building located on Route 288 in Fombell. Ellwood City To Host Easter Treat Bag Hand Out

This year marks the Ellwood City Area Easter Egg Hunt’s 26th community event and this year things will be slightly different. Due to COVID-19 and continued safe social distancing practices, this year’s event has been changed to a drive thru event where treat bags will be handed out. “Instead of doing 25 Golden Eggs this year we are going to do something different,” said committee member Kathy Brenner. “This year we are going to put a theme to our event – An Easter Parade.” Have your child(ren) help you decorate your vehicle and get a slip to enter a contest…
