Ellwood City Public Library Activities For Week of July 5

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

PLEASE NOTE: The Library has partnered with Seneca Library District, Oil Creek Library District, Erie County Public Library and Crawford County Federated Library System for e-books. You can now use the Overdrive or Libby App. to borrow books from the above Libraries. Please call the library with any questions.

WE’RE OPEN!

The Library is open. Anything printed or copied must be paid for with exact change or check. Newspapers, magazines and toys will not be available for the time being. Masks are required to be worn, covering mouth and nose, while in the building for the entire visit. We will continue doing curbside pick-up. Please call us with the book(s), authors, genre or recommended material you would like to check out and our staff will see that it is in alphabetical order in the lobby for you. We are still doing our returns in specially marked containers in our lobby. Please do not put any donated books in these bins. 724-758-6458 is the number to call with requests.

Hours are Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.

Activities taking place this week include.

TUESDAY, JULY 6

2:00 p.m. – “Jumpstart to Kindergarten,” for kids going to Kindergarten in the fall on Facebook Live. Remember to get your packet in the lobby.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 7

6:00 p.m. – “Tales and Tails,” for kids Kindergarten – 3rd Grade on Facebook Live. Remember to get your craft kit in the lobby.

6:30 p.m. – “Evening Book Group for Adults,” will be discussing the book “Last Train to London” by Meg Waite Clayton on Zoom.

THURSDAY, JULY 8

2:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books Book Group,” will be discussing the book “The Adventurers Guild” by Zack Loran Clark on Zoom.

6:00 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” done through Facebook.

SATURDAY, JULY 10

10:00 a.m. – “Stem Saturday,” on Facebook. Remember to pick up your activity kit in the lobby.

SPECIAL NOTICE FOR FAMILY FUN ACTIVITIES

If you participate in all three activities you will be entered into a special drawing. You must have proof of participation by showing us the project at the Library or taking a picture of the completed project to show us. Call the Library for more details.
