Library Weekly Activities For The Week Of November 12

The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.

Activities taking place this week include:

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12
In observance of Veteran’s Day the Ellwood City Area Public Library will be closed. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday.

 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13
10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” designed for babies as young as 6 month of age, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is an interactive, family event and features stories, songs, games, and finger plays and more. Registration is requested.
5:00 p.m. – “Food for Thought II,” The group will discuss the book, “Don’t Get Caught” by Kurt Dinan.
6:30 p.m. – “Classics Book Group,” the group will discuss the book, “Brideshead Revisited” by Evelyn Waugh

 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14
10:00 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. It is designed to help reduce stresses of everyday life. All adults are welcome.
6:00 p.m. – “Building Buddies,” this is an interactive program of fun and learning for toddlers and preschoolers. It allows kids to explore building and socialization skills. No registration is required.

 

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15
10:00 a.m. – “Preschool Storytime,” for preschoolers 3 to 5 years old. Those participating must be potty-trained. Stories, songs, games and finger plays are featured. Registration is requested.
3:00 p.m. – “Food for Thought,” a book discussion group for students in ninth through twelfth grades. The group will be discussing the book, “Don’t Get Caught” by Kurt Dinan.
6:00 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” which meets weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome.

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16
6:00 p.m. – “Holiday Canvas Paint Party,” The evening will feature a holiday theme along with food and wine. Tickets are on sale at the library. Seating is limited.
