The Ellwood City Area Public Library offers a variety of weekly activities. Information is available by calling the library at 724-758-6458.
HOURS
Hours are Monday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please remember no one is available to take your calls unless it is in the hours listed above.
Activities taking place this week include.
MONDAY, MARCH 30
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
TUESDAY, MARCH 31
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 6:00 p.m. – “Board Meeting”
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 1:30 p.m.- “Afternoon Storytime,” interactive stories and songs.
- 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – “Tween and Teen After School Club,” snacks and activities for grades 5-12.
THURSDAY, APRIL 2
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – “Interactive Play,” children can play hands-on with various items.
- 6:00 p.m. – “Mario Party,” come and have a party with a Mario theme.
FRIDAY, APRIL 3
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – “Coloring for Adults,” bring your own material or use the libraries.
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – “Adult Knitting Group,” Come and socialize while you work on a project.
SATURDAY, APRIL 4
- 9:00 a.m. – “Reading Buddies,” come and read to the dogs.
- 9:30 a.m. – “Little Librarians,” grades K-2 can come and learn what it is like to be a Librarian.
- 10:30 a.m. – “Pokemon Club,” grades K-12 can come and learn about Pokemon from fellow collectors battle and trade cards and do crafts.
- 11:45 a.m. – “Choose Your Own Book Club,” grades 3-5 can pick a book to read and do some activities while having a snack.
- 1:45 p.m. – “Teen Cooking Club,” grades 7-12 can learn to make easy snacks and meals.
- 2:30 p.m. – “Books, Thoughts and Snacks,” grades 6-12 can pick their own books then complete book journaling while eating snacks.
SAVE THE DATE
Saturday April, 11 Brunch with our Library. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and brunch begins at 11:00 a.m. This year it will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church 325 Spring Ave. Ellwood City. Tickets are $30 and are available at the library.
Spring Book Sale. Thursday April 23, 24 and 25. It is open the hours of the library. The library will not be taking books for this event.
