Lawrence County’s Earth Day Celebration will feature more than 40 educational exhibits, plenty of exciting activities, great entertainment, horse-drawn trolley rides, and a Wild World of Animals show. The event is FREE and will be held on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Ewing Park. Earth Day is planned and hosted by Ellwood City Community Enrichment and the Lawrence County Earth Day Committee. Ellwood Area Egg Hunt Committee will be holding their 22nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 8, in Ewing Park for all area children ages nine and under. Four and under hunts start at 11 and run till the end of the events, the five to nine year old hunts start at 1:30p.m. There will be over 7,000 Easter Eggs handed out.
