Reed’s Services Spring and Summer Overlook

Reed’s Services has been a family owned and operated business since 2007 and has been growing ever since.  What started out as a small operation has turned into well over 170 mowing and landscaping annual contracts and a complete landscaping supply store which includes pet and livestock feed and supplies. Reed’s takes care of commercial, H.O.A.’S, industrial and residential properties in surrounding areas. Joe Reed oversees all areas of business and keeps everything running smoothly. Ellwood City Medical Center New Hours

Ellwood City Medical Center has new hours for their outpatient laboratory and diagnostic services. The hours will be for services in the outpatient lab, X-ray and cardioplumonary for patients without an appointment. Ellwood City Summer Playground Program 2018

The Ellwood City Playground Program begins on Monday, June 11. Children must be between the ages of 5-13 and must be Ellwood City Borough residents. A parent or guardian must accompany their child to register them for the program. The bus will NOT be picking children up the first day of the program, June 11, to ensure that parents will come with their child to complete the registration form. Ellwood City’s 6th Free Summer Concert Series in the Community Plaza will begin June 16th with the Red Barn Players Sing Broadway on Main kicking off the series. PHOTOS: Relay For Life

Many attended the Ellwood City’s “Be A Superhero” Relay for Life  Saturday on Lawrence Avenue. There was a “Chalk the Town” sidewalk art contest The included food, crafts and vendors along with musical entertainment. One Voice, Average Jane, Elvis Vaughn Hudspath, The’m Guys and Nickle Plated Revolver performed throughout the day at the relay. There was also a performance from the young dancers at Diamond Dance Academy. The evening wrapped up with a Luminara Dedication Ceremony, where decorated luminary bags were lit and lined Lawrence Avenue. Below is a gallery of images from the Relay for Life:

Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities For Week of June 4

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following: Tuesday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. – “Family Laptime,” designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. BC3 Offers NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Courses This Summer

“I saw a difference immediately,” student says of one-on-one instruction Instructor Michael Pearson’s corrections to their unrecognized habits when missing 4-inch targets with their .22-caliber and 9mm semi-automatic handguns produced groupings of rounds piercing those circles 10 feet distant, said students in the first of six NRA basic pistol shooting courses scheduled in 2018 by Butler County Community College. The 16-hour course for civilians, offered through BC3’s Public Safety Training, highlights the five fundamentals of pistol shooting, the three NRA rules of safe firearms handling, the proper two-handed grip, determining your dominant eye, marksmanship and shooting techniques. The Ellwood City area is filled with those who need help, support, assistance, guidance and above all encouragement. Weather it’s from a lost job, health problems,drug or alcohol, pregnancy, divorce or a host of other issues, people need love and hope.
