Ellwood City Area School District Launches New Website Ahead of 2023-24 School Year

The Ellwood City Area School District has launched a new, redesigned website ahead of the 2023-24 school year. ECASD Board of Directors Meeting: Ewing Park Residents Oppose New Location for Softball Field

Approximately 25 visitors attended Thursday’s Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors meeting—many to express their opposition to the location of the new softball field. Social Media Influencer Among BC3’s New Short-Term Programs

Butler – One short-term Butler County Community College program debuting this fall will help students such as small-business owners or employees to acquire or enhance social media skills, and the other, to gain practical knowledge needed to work in a medical office. The college’s business and information technology division will begin programs in social media influencer and in medical office specialist when the fall 2023 semester begins Aug. 21. ECASD Approves Plan to Construct New Softball Field, Renovate Baseball Field

The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors unanimously approved a plan to commit to improving district softball and baseball facilities. The plan, provided by HHSDR in an athletic facility study, includes a newly constructed softball field on the Ewing Park School property and renovations to the existing baseball field as recommended by the ECASD Board Athletic Committee. Application Deadline Nears For Record 155 BC3 Scholarships

Six scholarships administered by the Butler County Community College Education Foundation will debut in the 2023-2024 academic year and increase to 155 the record number of named financial awards available to BC3 students, a college administrator said. Students registered in fall 2023 credit programs can apply for a scholarship until July 1, said Bobbi Jo Cornetti, development coordinator of the foundation that distributed 148 named financial awards and a record $292,123 to BC3 students in the 2022-2023 academic year. On Wednesday, May 31st, the Ellwood City Wolves Den II hosted a dinner to honor the recipients of the Wolves Club Scholarships for 2023. Ten Wolves Club Scholarships, with a value of $18,035, were awarded this year including three new ones.
