Lincoln Jr/Sr. High School Identified For Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI)

According to information made available the by the district, Lincoln Jr/Sr. High School was identified for Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) due to challenges in proficiency and growth on standardized assessments, Career and College Readiness, and Attendance. “Over the past year, our entire school community has worked with focus and dedication to improve in these areas, and we are proud to announce that we have met the challenge,” says Director of Educational Programs, Dr. Amy Anderson. 2025 Historical Society Scholarships Submission Details Announced

The EllwoodCity Area Historical Society will award four (4) fifteen hundred dollar ($1,500.00) scholarships this year. All graduating seniors living in the Ellwood City Area School District or the Riverside School District are eligible. Applications and requirements may be obtained from either high school Guidance Counselor, or from the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. Zoning Hearing Board Denies ECASD Application for Special Exception to Build Softball Field at Ewing Park Property

The Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of Ellwood City has denied the Ellwood City Area School District’s application for special exception to build a softball field on the Ewing Park School property. ECASD To Conduct Emergency Drill Training On Monday

The Ellwood City Area School District will conduct emergency drill training on Monday, January 20th, at Hartman Elementary School. Please note that there will be no classes for Ellwood students on this day, as it is an Act 80 day dedicated to providing security training for all district personnel. Seven Ellwood City Students Among CCBC President’s and Dean’s Lists For Fall 2024 Semester

The Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) is proud to release 339 names of full-time and part-time students who achieved either the President’s List or Dean’s List honors for the fall 2024 semester. ECASD Board of Directors Hires Superintendent

The Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors voted to hire Dr. Amy Anderson as Superintendent for a five-year contract beginning July 1, 2025, pending completion of contract. Board President Jennifer Tomon said Anderson’s salary will be $150,000 per year. Director Norman Boots was the only “No” vote and expressed that he believed that Anderson should be paid a lower salary and get salary bumps on a tiered system.
