Slade Recognized as 2023 National Merit Scholarship Winner at ECASD Board of Directors Meeting

Hayden Slade, a senior at Lincoln High School, was recognized during Thursdays Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors meeting after being named a 2023 National Merit Scholarship winner. More than1.5 million students entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. Slade was named one of 15,000 finalists in February and was just named an official winner on Wednesday. He was one of 2,500 winners across the nation. Lincoln High School Announces 2023 Prom Court

The 2023 Lincoln High School Prom Court has been announced! On Friday, the Ellwood City “A Night With The Stars” Prom will be held at the New Englander in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Prior to arriving at the New Englander, students will participate in the annual LHS Promenade held at the Leslie Sabo Memorial Auditorium. During the ceremony Senior members of the Prom court will be recognized and the 2023 King and Queen will be crowned later that evening. Grady Smith Earns The MVS Elks Scholarship

Grady Smith has been named a National Elks Scholar and a recipient of their Most Valuable Student Scholarship. The Elks National Foundation scholarship program recognizes students in several categories including community service, honors and awards, extracurricular involvement, employment and academics. Grady was selected from over 20,000 applicants nationwide as one of the top 2% students in the country to become a lifelong Elks Scholar.
