2023 Primary Election Unofficial Results: Ellwood City Borough Council; Ellwood City and Riverside School Boards

Unofficial results from yesterday’s May 16, 2023 primary have been posted. Lawrence County According Lawrence County’s website, there were 13,266 ballots cast in Lawrence County. Of those, 6,434 were Democratic and 6,832 were Republican. The total voter turnout was 27.27% with 30.17% being Democratic and 25% being Republican. Click here for full unofficial results. Aliya Garroway says she needs $600,000 to make her idea become a reality. The Lincoln High School senior pitched her business plan for a “high-ceilinged” indoor baseball and softball complex in Lawrence County to be called “No Off-Season” to Ellwood City business leaders, and to community college educators and administrators April 28 as one of eight students to complete the 2022-2023 Riv-Ell Entrepreneurship program. Slade Recognized as 2023 National Merit Scholarship Winner at ECASD Board of Directors Meeting

Hayden Slade, a senior at Lincoln High School, was recognized during Thursdays Ellwood City Area School District’s Board of Directors meeting after being named a 2023 National Merit Scholarship winner. More than1.5 million students entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. Slade was named one of 15,000 finalists in February and was just named an official winner on Wednesday. He was one of 2,500 winners across the nation. Lincoln High School Announces 2023 Prom Court

The 2023 Lincoln High School Prom Court has been announced! On Friday, the Ellwood City “A Night With The Stars” Prom will be held at the New Englander in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Prior to arriving at the New Englander, students will participate in the annual LHS Promenade held at the Leslie Sabo Memorial Auditorium.
