75th Anniversary Of Choral Music Concert Planned At Lincoln High School

The Lincoln High School Choral Department will be presenting our spring concert next Friday night, May 10th. “We are very proud to be celebrating this amazing milestone with two special concerts on May 10th and May 11th,” said Senior High Choral Director Felecia Greco. “This is an event not to be missed!” The concert will begin at 7:00 pm and feature seven different choirs with students in grades 5-12. Franklin Township Clean-Up Day Announced

Franklin Township residents are invited to participate and clean up a yard, home, or garage with a township clean-up day planned for Saturday, May 4, 2019. The event will begin at 8:00am and last until 2:00pm for township residents.  Residents can drop off trash at the Franklin Township Building located on Route 288 in Fombell. This cleanup event is for township residents only, with two (2) passes allowed per household. A pass is good for one load. Calvin Presbyterian Church Set To Host Rummage And Bake Sale

On Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4, Calvin Presbyterian Church will be hosting a rummage and bake sale. The sale will go on from 9:00 a.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday (Bag Day). Donations for the rummage sale will be accepted during office hours. Local Schools Receive Safety Grants from State Program

School safety grants were awarded to nine school districts in Beaver and Lawrence counties, according to Senator Elder Vogel (R-47). Beaver County school districts receiving grants are: Beaver Area, $385,378. Finance Committee Advances Farmer “Legacy” Tax Credit Measure

The Senate Finance Committee today (May 1) approved a measure that will encourage existing farmers and landowners to help beginning farmers get started in the business, according to Committee Chairman Scott Hutchinson.  Video Senate Bill 478, a measure sponsored by Senator Elder Vogel (R-47), would provide a personal income tax credit for landowners who lease or sell their land, buildings and equipment to beginning farmers. The Senate Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee today approved two bills included in the “Farming First” legislative package that will help promote and support Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry, according to Committee Chairman Senator Elder Vogel (R-47). Bernstine Bill Would Repeal Dormant PA Wealth Tax Law

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania House of Representatives this week approved legislation, authored by Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence), which would repeal a dormant law that he says could be used as a gateway to implement a state wealth tax on personal property. Riverside’s current superintendent, Dr. Dave Anney, will be serving his last day on June 28th.
