‘Kolędy Night’ Scheduled

A first-ever ‘Kolędy Night’ is planned for Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Polish Falcons Club in New Castle. The evening will feature area musicians playing traditional Polish and American Christmas carol sing-a-longs. Lyrics in both Polish and English will be provided for those attending. Kolędy Night will take place at Polish Falcons 105 W. Miller Street New Castle, PA. The event is from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and admission is only $5.00 (with children 16 and under FREE). Mini-Casino Financing Problems Revealed To The State By Mount Airy Months Ago

According to an article published on PennBets.com website, the cancellation of Mount Airy Resort Casino’s plans for a mini-casino in Beaver County came as abrupt, unexpected news to the public, but the project had been doomed months ago by trouble obtaining needed financing. ELLWOOD CITY, PA – Yes, there is a Santa Claus and we can help you prove it! Lincoln High Schools’ Spanish Club will again be helping Santa Claus with his heavy letter writing workload. Letters will be individually crafted by our onsite helper elves and delivered to your home before Christmas. Bernstine Announces Committee Passage of Bill to Prevent Violent Offenders from Early Release

HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today commended the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin), for passing House Bill 1855 or Markie’s Law, which focuses on the parole process for violent offenders. Council Approves Free Holiday Parking

Ellwood City Borough Council voted Monday night to allow residents and visitors to park free in the downtown area for the holidays. Free parking will be authorized at all metered spaces on Lawrence Avenue, Bell Avenue, Crescent Avenue, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, and the Beaver Avenue parking lot from November 29-December 31, 2019. A maximum of two hours of parking will be permitted. Anyone exceeding the two hour time limit will be subject to a $5 fine if paid within 72 hours.
