Bernice Ruth Poholsky, 89, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, Jan. 11, 2016 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care Canterbury Campus in Pittsburgh. She was born in Ellwood City, on April 9, 1926 to the late John W. Duffy and the late Minnie Ladebu Duffy. Bernice graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1944. She was born in Chewton on Oct. 22, 1923 to the late John Ciletti and the late Susanna Labriola Ciletti. S. Bernice Houk, 100, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Ellwood City, passed peacefully into God’s hands on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 from Cherry’s Assisted Living Home in Tucson. She was born over a century ago in Jackson Center, Pa., on Oct. 11, 1915 to the late Clare S. and Mary Blanche Hillman Turner. Bernice had recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a large gathering of friends and relatives in Tucson.
