John Wayne Bubb, 71, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at his home in Wayne Township surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Kaitlyn Nichole “Kait” Francis, 17, passed away in her residence on Monday, January 28, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Pittsburgh on June 6, 2001 Kait is the daughter of Jason and Brittany Lilly Francis.  Kait was a member of the Lincoln High School class of 2019.  A member of National Honors Society and honors graduate, Kait wanted to become a pediatric oncology nurse.  While at Lincoln, she was a member of Club Hope, Spanish Club and Ellwood City Culture Club.  She also enjoyed playing rec league softball. Frank J. Sniezek, Jr., 69 of Wayne Township passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1:16 am in the ER of the Ellwood City Medical Center. Born in New Castle on September 15, 1949, Frank was the son of the late Frank J. and Clara Krupa Sniezek.  Frank is survived by his wife, the former Connie M. Hervantine, whom he married on July 23, 1977.  Frank retired on July 1, 2018 as a supervisor after over 45 years at the Beaver Co. Shirley J. Smith, 69, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township. Born in Ellwood City on July 27, 1949, Shirley was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene “Tootie” Shoaf Gahagan.  Shirley married Raymond D. Smith on June 17, 1967 and he preceded her in death on November 27, 1998.  A very active member of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Ellwood City, Shirley enjoyed volunteering there and she sold Avon for over 40 years. Viola E. Jeckavitch, 92, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away at the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Born in New Brighton, PA on June 16, 1926, Viola was the daughter of the late Adam and Julia Zombeck Grossman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Brownie S. Born in Ellwood City on June 11, 1938, Ida was the daughter of the late John R. and Antonella Morella Pratt. Ida is survived by her husband, Joseph Ionellie, whom she married on June 24, 1967.
