Shirley M. Shablesky, 81, of Ellwood City, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at UPMC Jameson surrounded by her family. Born September 18, 1937, Shirley was the daughter and step-daughter of the late Olive and Jack Graham.  She married Joseph J. Shablesky, Jr. on August 24, 1957 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1997.  A member of Holy Redeemer Church, Shirley retired from Giant Eagle where she was the manager of the health and beauty department.  Shirley enjoyed everything about cooking, from reading one of her many cookbooks to watching cooking shows on television.  She loved…

Mary M. Magnifico, 89, of Ellwood City, passed away in her residence, on Saturday, July 13, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born in Beaver Falls on April 13, 1930, Mary was the daughter of the late Domenic and Agnes Muoio Morelli.  She married Thomas Magnifico on June 26, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2015 after 61 years of marriage.  Mary was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish.  She loved her family, and she absolutely loved taking care of her eight grandchildren. Robert Dean Alben, 66 of New Beaver Borough passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 6, 2019. Born in Ellwood City on December 7, 1952, Dean was the son of the late Arthur LeVern and Elvira Elizabeth Francis Alben.  Dean had retired from Russell Trucking in Wampum as a truck driver.  He was a member of the Polish White Eagles in Chewton where he had played on the pool team.  Dean also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Shane J. Rusnock, 27, of Franklin Township, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 in Orange County California. Born in Pittsburgh on July 1, 1991, Shane is the son of John S. and Terri S. Joshua L. Gibson, 29, of Franklin Township, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Born in Brighton Township on August 16, 1989, Josh was the son of Theodore “Ted” and Leann Whelan Gibson, Jr.  A 2008 graduate of Riverside High School, Josh played football all the way through from Little Panthers to his senior year at RHS.  Upon graduation, Josh entered the Army where he served as a Fire Support Specialist from 2008 to 2014, 13 of those months were spent serving in Iraq.  Josh worked at Fox and James in Neville Island as a diesel technician.  An avid Pittsburgh…

Nicholas C. Risko, 95, of Ellport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 10, 2019 in The Grove at New Wilmington, passing peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Ellport, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Trynovich Risko.  A 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School, Nicholas attended Garfield Business College and Geneva College.  He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946, attaining the rank of Corporal and serving 30 months in the Pacific Theatre.  He was awarded two battle stars for the New Guinea and Philippine campaigns.  He married…

Joseph Ionellie, 85, of Ellwood City, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Bridgeville Rehabilitation & Care Center. Born in Wayne Twp., on October 31, 1933 Joseph was the son of the late David and Lena Luongo Ioannilli.  Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ida J. Born in Beaver Falls on September 29, 1931, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Paul and Angelina Marosi Galli.  She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Judith M. “Judi” Stoops, 74 of Wurtemburg passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Heritage Valley Medical Center. Born in Beaver on March 16, 1945, Judi was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louise Murphy Weisz, Sr.  Judi is survived by her husband, Carl P.
